OOC
Hey guys! Sorry I’ve been so MIA lately, it’s been a crazy few weeks in the life of AJ. First of all Re was spending some time with me, AND WE WERE JUST FAR TOO BUSY WATCHING SUPERNATURAL AND GOING TO HAUNTED PLAYGROUNDS. A bit into Re’s trip I found out I was being sent on another business trip, so yesterday I dropped Re off at the airport and immediately got onto a plane to Wisconsin. I’m only here for a few more days, I’ll be home and back to a normal schedule Sunday.
If I owe you a post could you like this? I’ll be responding to everyone tonight, I’ll be on after having dinner with my regional.
Miss you all!
Stepping In || Hector and Callum
‘Obviously.’ Callum thought in response to Hector’s reply, eyes giving yet another roll as they stepped out into the luxurious hall way leading to the double doors that lead into the penthouse suite. His grin was back as soon as they entered, spreading quickly across his face as he took in his surroundings. “Well, I suppose this will do.” he gave a small snort of a laugh, amusing himself before quickly making his way around the room, fingers grazing against various items as he moved. “This place is a bit ridiculous, isn’t it? I mean you could fill this place with likely three families if not more, not to mention …” he cut off, thoughts becoming distracted as he stopped in front of a rather large hot tub.
He was paused for a moment, eyes moving across the sleek finish of the hot tub. “Well, I mean I’m not complaining … I think I can get quickly used to this place.” his grin didn’t shift as he turned to look back over at the area Hector remained in, feet instantly returning to their previous pace as he strolled across to where the bed rested. Bed? I suppose you could call it that but it was more like three beds combined or at least that’s how it seemed to him. Another ridiculously over sized part of the room but hell he wasn’t paying and it was just one more thing he could enjoy.
Callum seated himself on the edge of the bed, kicking off his shoes before allowing himself to fell back into the plush layers of fabric. “Mmm, comfy enough.” his eyes fluttered closed for a moment as he absorbed the feeling of the bed around him.
“I’m glad it meets your high standards, my darling,” Hector laughed, eyebrow quirked. He stood, walking over to the minibar. Alcohol was completely useless to him, it’s not like a vampire over a thousand years old was going to get drunk off of a Smirnoff Ice. Still, sometimes he enjoyed the sharp, bitter burn of liquor on his tongue. He grabbed a glass, pouring himself a scotch. “This is a rather nice hotel. It beats the once in France, they try far too hard to be rustic and end up looking run down.”
Hector sat on the bed next to Callum, undoing his own shoes with one hand. He placed them carefully aside, not one to throw his possession around. Once they were off he leaned back, resting his weight on an elbow while the other arm brought the scotch up. The amber liquid hissed down his throat, bringing that familiar, comforting feeling he could chase but never catch. “Don’t go falling asleep on me, dear.”
Stepping In || Hector and Callum
Callum wrinkled his nose, finding a incredible amount of hatred for the woman that sat behind the desk, the way she spoke and responded to Hector bothered him. Why? Fuck if he knew but she quickly got under his skin, the positive vibes that drifted off of her in heavy waves only worsening the affects she had on him.
He hadn’t even realized that his jaw was clenched until the vampire’s hand had found of small of his back, instructing him to move onward in which he found himself instantly complying. “Yeah, Yeah.” he grumbled, looking back over his shoulder once to give the woman one final glare before heading into the elevator.
The door slowly closed behind the two of them, the rather loud clank most hotel elevators provided once the doors hit one another not there, instead they were replaced by the soft sound of rubber bouncing off one another. There was no sudden jolt like feeling that other elevators gave off either when they started, in fact Callum hadn’t even noticed they had started moving until a female voice came over the intercom announcing their arrival, his eyes instantly narrowing up at one of the speakers. “Must everything have an annoyingly pleasant voice?”
Hector laughed softly, leaning in the corner of the elevator. Callum was so clearly irritate by the world now, he had no idea how sex would actually work between them. “They get paid a pretty penny to be cheerful, darling,” he pointed out. “It would cost them their jobs to be anything but.”
When they left the elevator it was a short walk to the door, as the penthouse was the only room on this floor. He slid the key card through the slot, the door unlatching with a cheerful “click”.
Inside was a plush, luxurious room, decorated with rich reds and burgundies. The bed was far bigger than anyone would ever need, and the technology throughout the suite was state of the art. Hector smiled, looking around. “Ah, home sweet home.”
He un-knotted his tie, draping it over a chair. “Make yourself comfortable, and do help yourself to the minibar, darling. I think you need to relax.”
Stepping In || Hector and Callum
Callum had had his eyes more or less on the ground as they walked, following the ridges and cracks in the pavement as they made their way along the city blocks. It didn’t seem to take all that long, the silence having been more then welcome as it allowed his thoughts to run free and eventually clear of any vile emotions that had been starting to well up over the time dinner began.
His pre occupation with watching the ground before his feet caused the touch of Hector’s hand to his arm to startle him, quickly altering him as he snapped his head up and pulled him arm quickly away and closer to his own body. He snarled lowly before realizing they had made their destination, eyes tracing up the full length of the obnoxiously lit up building.
“They couldn’t make it stand out anymore, could they?” Callum gave a roll of his eyes, arms folding across his chest tightly as they made their way to the entrance, slipping inside the lobby that not only was lit with just as obnoxious decor and lighting but also with stupidly over extravagant pieces that he could only assume were used simply to drive more people to stay there. Yet he had to admit it sure as hell looked nicer then anything he had ever even stepped foot inside before. Hell, he was actually starting to feel like maybe hooking up with a blood sucker would be good for his heath or at least it would land him some pretty fine perks in life.
“You going to score us the best room possible? I think I deserve a pent house at least.”
“Oh? You deserve the penthouse, do you?” Hector laughed. He walked up to the front desk, giving his best winning smile. “Hello, darling. I’d like the best room in the building, please. Something private, with a lovely view.”
The desk attendant smiled, giving a giddy little laugh. “Yes sir, absolutely sir,” she said, tearing her eyes away from Hector’s black, sparkling eyes. “We have the top floor pent house suite, if you like.”
“Perfect,” he said with a nod, passing his credit card over. “It will be under Hector Bell, please. And note that we don’t need to be disturbed, so no visits from house keeping until I call.”
“Yes sir, absolutely sir,” she said, nodding eagerly. After processing the information she handed a key over. “Very top floor, the passcode is written in your booklet. The gym and pool are open all hours, so feel free to enjoy them.”
“Thank you dear,” he smiled, taking everything. He placed a hand on Callum’s back, leading him to the elevator. “This way darling.”
Stepping In || Hector and Callum
Callum let out a rather low, defensive growl before his hands moves to wrap back around the remainder of his burger, bringing it to his lips and taking several quick bites of it only to force them each down with heavy swallows. He almost choked on the last large bite he took, coughing a bit after swallowing and instantly reaching for his drink as a chaser.
After quite a bit of his drink disappeared to chase down the meal he slammed the glass back down hard against the wooden surface, looking back over at Hector. “There! I’ve ate, now you can’t fucking use that against me! I’m no weakling.” he scowled, eyes shifting down to the rather large pile of cash. “Yeah I can walk but … with that kind of money? You sure as hell better get us a nice hotel and no kicking me out after! I want a good sleep following, got it?”
“Oh darling,” Hector laughed, standing. “I don’t believe in anything other than five star. Why would I slum it when I have the money to spoil myself?” He led Callum out, smiling as the crisp night air caressed his skin. “No, we’ll stay somewhere incredible, I assure you. And I’ll give you ample time to sleep, I’ll probably go hunt after you go to bed.” He smirked, winking.
Hector rested a hand on the small of Callum’s back, stealing a glance. Seeing the boy so flustered and annoyed made him all the more determined to get under his skin in any way possible. He admire the sweet little flush of irritation coloring the mortal’s pale face, his blue eyes sharp and focused in his determination not to look at the vampire. His pink lips, the line of his jaw…it drew Hector in, so dangerous in it’s allure.
They walked in silence for a bit, Hector having decided to let Callum cool down a bit. He put his hand on the boys arm, stopping him outside of what appeared to be a posh enough hotel. “This one should do…”
Stepping In || Hector and Callum
‘You’re the one who’s going to have sex with me.’ With him? When had he ever agreed to that? Callum’s brows furrowed, confusion washing over him a moment before he realized no, there had never been any specific clarification of who Hector was to have sex with to prove himself.
His face burned from a mixture of both further humiliation and vexation. Great, now he knew he couldn’t back out without making a complete fool of himself for having thought wrongly of the situation the whole way through their meal.
Callum huffed, continuing to shoot daggers across the table. “Fuck you, maybe that’s true but I sure as hell am no faggot! I am only in this to see if what you claim is true, that’s all.” his face was red as he finished speaking, suddenly having lost all interest in his food.
“Let’s hurry up and get out of here then. I have no patience for food anymore as it is, I’ve ate enough.”
Hector laughed, sipping his wine. He had ruffled the boy, he took that as a small victory. “Why the rush, darling? Wouldn’t you rather eat? You’re going to need your strength, especially after last night.”
He pulled a decent amount of cash out of his pocket, laying enough on the table for dinner and quite a hefty tip. It wasn’t so much for the benefit of the waiter, more to show off. “I think I know a good hotel we can go to, then. It’s just off Main Street, not too far from here. Will you be alright walking?”
Love the Way You Lie | Lenore/Hector |
Lenore made sure that she was holding Hector’s gaze so that he couldn’t look away. There was no way she was going to let him just walk away with so much weighing on both of them over what had happened. “I…I must admit, I didn’t think you’d be this affected by my leaving. I don’t want you to be angry, Hector. I never wanted that. I just wanted you to be able to move on in peace. I thought leaving was a good idea,” she replied quietly.
She watched him take a step back, never dropping her eyes from his. His last sentence hit Len hard though, and she did drop her eyes that time. “I don’t expect to be forgiven easily, if that makes a difference. And I’m more than willing to let you do whatever you need to in order to move on,” she replied.
Lenore hadn’t expected Hector to touch her cheek, and the gesture brought her blue-green irises up to his brown ones. “I don’t really see how. And I’m not a little girl, Hector. Not anymore. I’ve done some growing up since then. You wouldn’t believe the things I’ve gotten myself involved in. You probably wouldn’t be too proud about some of it either,” she sighed.
“You’re mistake is the same as always,” Hector sighed, dropping his hand. “Why seek pride and acceptance? It’s so useless living your life for others, Lenore. At some point you’re going to have to learn to make decisions for yourself.” He tilted his head to the side, deep, dark eyes studying her face. What had this beautiful, sullen girl gotten herself into that was so terrible. The Lenore he had known was meek and subdued, he didn’t see her stumbling into trouble too easily.
Hector sighed, brushing a stray lock of hair out of his eyes. “As angry as I am with you, you know our bond still runs deep. If you’re in trouble, or need assistance in any way, you must tell me. Alright?”
